I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy loving kindness and for thy truth : for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. Psalm 138:2
Our church is a Fundamental, Independent, Baptist Church. We are Fundamental in that we hold to the historic “fundamentals” of the faith which contrast with liberalism, modernism, and the Charismatic movement. We are Independent as we do not belong to any group, fellowship, affiliation, association, or convention. We are Baptist because we believe the Bible and hold to the historically distinct doctrines by which Baptists have been known.
Our manner of worship is traditional; our Bible (the King James Bible) is the pure word of God, and our gospel (the Lord’s gospel) is older than creation. We seek to please God rather than man and do not stray from these standards of worship, Bible, and gospel.
MISSIONARY OF THE WEEK : Bullock Family - Markie and Christy founded Providence Baptist Homes in Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico in 2005, and have seen the Lord bless their ministry in a mighty way.
The orphanage is part of the overall ministry of Christy’s parents, Nelson and Cathy Dorr, at Providence Baptist Ministries. They started with 4 children and currently have 18 children and several workers. In their latest newsletter, Markie reports that their house has become more of a home, as all the kids and workers seem to be content and happy with no major issues.
